About the Project

The Challenge

The design, created by the acclaimed architecture firm Droese Raney, was visually stunning— but also featured premium materials and finishes that posed significant budget challenges. At the same time, the project operated on an extremely tight timeline, requiring flawless execution with little room for delay. Further complications arose when the general contractor experienced schedule setbacks, resulting in site condition issues that interfered with installation planning.

The Approach

Gilbert responded by value-engineering select materials without compromising the design intent. A champagne brass electroplated metal was sourced in place of a more expensive finish, dramatically reducing material costs while preserving the sophisticated aesthetic envisioned by Droese Raney. To stay ahead of the fast-paced schedule, Gilbert implemented weekly internal and client-facing calls, creating a consistent forum to identify and resolve challenges. When construction delays impacted site access, Gilbert shipped trailer loads of materials to a nearby storage facility and coordinated small shuttle deliveries to the jobsite, with labor on- site to maintain momentum as conditions allowed.

The Result

The Eiseman Jewels project was delivered on time and with the elegance and attention to detail the brand is known for. Gilbert’s flexibility, strong vendor collaboration, and proactive communication helped transform a complex build into a seamless, high-impact execution. The final result honored Droese Raney’s original design vision while aligning with Eiseman’s standard of excellence.
